Watch out for double-sided cards.

I really love CardScan with one *MAJOR* exception. About 80-90% of the cards I get are double-sided. I can scan 50 cards in on one side in about 1 minute. Scanning the other side takes 10-15 minutes, because you have to select each card individually and then tell the software you want to scan the back side. It would be much better to have a smart mode, where you could scan both sides initially.

I use Cardscan for recording all business cards. Its synchronisation with Microsoft Outlook Express enables me to transfer all the information to my mobile phone. The only improvement I can think of is if after scanning I could synchronise direct to my Blackberry

Scanning for Contacts

This is one of the best tools I've bought in 2007! Through out the day I collect various business cards from one source or another, these use to end up in a drawer or a card holder if I was diligent. Needless to say they were often forgotten and of absolutely no use what so ever! With cardscan every new contact gets scanned and added to my address book, I let "cardscan at your service" keep my contacts up to date which in it self is a blessing. [...]

I get hundreds of cards when I go to networking events. It only takes me a couple minutes to scan, export in a file I prefer and upload them to my CRM system. I absolutely love the color preview feature as well.
