I have tried other products but CardScan wins hands down over the competion in construction, portability, speed and accuracy. The software installed without a gliche and the hardware interface with the software is seamless.
Pros: Unprecedented recognition, Small Footprint, Reliable Performance, Time Saving, Very fast scanning, Integrates with Oulook, Easy To Use, Easy to print one card, Quality Construction, Usb power, Works Efficiently

I received the product as a gift and had rather low expectations. I can't live without it now. It is extremely fast and accurate at scanning cards. I add about 5 to 10 cards per week. I use the Cardscan contact manager to manage about 2500 contacts. It syncs to two computers and my phone. All my contact are always available. When I had a computer fail, the web backup took only a few minutes to restore my contacts. I no longer use MS Outlook as I find it completely redundant although Cardscan did sync to it flawlessly. I am completely impressed with the product and really don't have any suggestions for improvements.

Could be great with better upgrade path

I am using the 600cx scanner which I find more than adequate for all of my business card scanning needs. I like the small footprint. I have had a few minor hiccups with the Card Scan software, but for the most part it works OK and is relatively easy to use. I often need to run the scanner set up wizzard, but is always works and takes only a minute to do. There are many ways that the interface could be more efficient and intuitive. The rollo-dex design is rediculous in my opinion, I bought a computer so I could throw that thing out! But once you figure out the command structure it very easy to use. Note: I refuse to use anything if it requires that I read a manual so on the geek meter of 1 - 10 I am a 2, low geek.My best suggestion is in the area of syncronization with other software. Since this is a rapidly evolving environemnt it would be nice if there were a better more affordable upgrade path for those who are happy with the current hardware, but need better connectivity with other software. New versions are available but the price is not attractive. Upgrades should be by license or subscription so for a nominal amount everyone can always have the most compatible up to date version.I like the idea of keeping contacts up to date on the web using [...] However, I am very wary of anoyinig anyone who does not want to participate. A better expanation of how emails are used would be nice. I am not quite sure what happens when I scan a new card with this service enabled? Are the automatically solicited, is my name used as a reference, etc.

Great Product

We owned a much earlier product of CardScan but the results were not always good. This latest version not only found and converted the text, it also quickly put it in the right categories. Great product!

Stop the clutter!

Never lose a contact again! Easy to up-date peoples ever so changing information and can export my card scan data to other applications. Not having to worry about where a business card is and REMOVING the bulky "rol o dex" from my desk top is great.
