Simply terrific. Fast copying solves a age-old problem of capturing business card data. Accurately captures 100% of normal text and most unconventional layouts. The cards that are likely to be problematic are predictable and it is easy to manually correct. Dramatically faster and lots simpler than hand entry of all cards. It has a simple but effective search feature--first or last name entry that actually shows you the list as it is being narrowed down to the contact you are looking for. We like this so much what we are trading up to the team (networked) model with a shared contact database. I use mine as a contact database and a prospect list builder from electronic and paper sources using the drag and drop feature.
Pros: Scans Accurately, Good Resolution, Easy To Search, Easy To Use, Copies e-lists, Easy To Transport, Scans Quickly

Great Product but not perfect

I had a stack of 300 business cards collected over the past year, plus I meet probably 15 people per week whose contact information I want to keep, so Cardscan is definitely a time saver. Two complaints: The software is about 90-95% accurate. That means you need to individually verify every single card you scan. That's the same problem I've had with any type of OCR software I've ever tried. Lack of documentation, and lack of help file. For a $250 product, it would be nice to include a comprehensive manual, instead of forcing a user to do web searches and use trial and error. Bottom line: it is a time saver and worth the money, but don't expect it to completely remove the task of checking the data you scan. It just takes one missing digit in a phone number to make the record un-useable.
Pros: Scans Quickly, Saves work, Easy To Use
Cons: Inaccurate, Outdated software

Organize w/ Ease

I travel frequently to conferences/trade shows and gather 100's of business cards which can be readily organized daily with the CardScan. No more sorting and guessing after returning from each trip. I only wish it can also recoginze Chinese and other Asian languages, as so many trade shows are international. I hope later my CardScan can have free software updates with such capabilities.
Pros: Good Resolution, Easy To Transport, Scans Accurately, Scans Quickly, Easy To Use
Cons: Cannot Scan Receipts, Limited Foreign Language

The best ways to help me combat disorder

I do not depend anymore on the stack of business cards in my office. I can "tag" every single person/business with the options I have to group every single contact in my files.
