Great Product with Great Functionality

It's a great product that provides you the comfort and security of knowing that you will always be up to date with the contact details of your networks. CardScan @yourservice has been great in ensuring that my contacts are able to update their contact information or confirm their valadity every four months to ensure that I can keep track of changes to their professional portfolios as well as to ensure that I do not lose contact with both clients, associates, family and friends. I no longer have to manual enter fields into Microsoft Outlook. All I do is scan the card, visually confirm that the information has been copied accurately into the CardScan software's database, and the information is immediately synced with outlook without even having to click anything. The great thing is that there is two-way sync. When you change something or create a new contact in CardScan, it transfers that information to outlook immediately. When you change something in outlook, same thing happens on the other side. All I do is scan, allow to sync, and sync with my iPhone, and just like that I ensure that all the places in which I store contact data have consistent and up to date information. The only drawback is that there is yet no way to add card images to existing contacts. you either have to scan the card and create a new contact and add additional information, or there is a work around published on the DYMO website's help section which allows you synergize 'duplicate' contacts. Although this process is a bit shakey and inconvenient, it still works, but I hope DYMO will come out with an update in its next software release that will rectify this problem, as I am sure that many people will want to scan cards that they received before they purchased their card scanner to update the contact profiles they've already created in outlook.

I just couldn´t believe how accurate scans business cards from different countries. I know four sure CardScan was unable to do this some years ago when I first tried it. Now, I would never quit using it, unless a new CardScan is released. I am sure that any system improvement, worths the change.

This product has been amazing. Can even get most of my Chinese cards right the first time. It does have problems with company names that are bigger font or different font than the the rest of the line. But I really can't complain!

I bought it because my husband, who is in the entertainment industry, collects tons of business cards and the clutter of them was too much. He needed to be able to see the cards, so it is great to be able to have very clear scanned images. I think it is a great product. Great search features, great display of the cards in different options and the ability to enlarge the cards My only negative is it does not get the information on the more colorful cards correctly put into the contact info. It seems to work well on plain and simple cards. But as long as we can see the cards, that's what we need. Anyway-Love it!

Great product, time saver

I have over 4,000 contacts. Scanning them was fast, though initial verification took many days. The good news is that the accuracy was impressive. Simple/normal cards were scanned with 99% accuracy. Unfortunately complicated or fancy cards could confuse the OCR, but still got about 80% accuracy. I found that the best way once you scanned all your contacts was to do weekly scans of new contacts. This keeps maint down to manageble levels. The "at your service" product to verify the contacts by sending e-mails to your contacts is basic. I wish that there were customizable options, such as allowing users to specify the frequecy of updates as well as to leave a personal message to the contacts as many people do not respond for fear that the mail verification contains a virus. The scanner bit the dust about 10 months after I purchased it. Getting a replacement was difficult as I do not live in the US. Support outside the US is poor. I finally got the replacement, but that required my friend to mail it to me overseas. Overall no regrets, a great product which make keeping in contact a lot easier

I am a Stockroom Supervisor that deals with literally hundreds of vendors. Without this cardscan devise I would lose an incredible amount of time searching through business cards when I need to contact one. I love this devise for that reason alone. It only takes a couple seconds to find a contact and the software allows numerous ways to search for one. For the money you just can't beat it. Be sure and check your information for accuracy after scanning a card though. Sometimes it will not record the information correctly, but it is easily editted.
