I scan cards from networking events. I have about 1500 business cards. I can pull information quickly by any field.
Pros: Good Resolution, Easy To Use, The OCR works pretty well, Scans Quickly
Cons: Inaccurate

Heart of contact database

I use CardScan as the central business card database and the disseminate the information to both ACT! and Outlook. ACT! is my primary contact management software. Outlook is my email processor and connects my Windows Mobile Smartphone. While accuracy is up and down based on the design of the business card (sometimes 100% - sometimes 0%), I would have manually entered the data anyway. So any level above 0% is gravy. But you have to pay very close attention to the scans as errors are frequently subtle which can be deadly on email addresses.
Pros: Scans Quickly
Cons: Inaccurate

Great product for databasing of contacts and constantly improving. Only headache to date. Tried to open in another window to copy contacts between files and program crashed. After several repairs and reinstalls had to finally resort to system restore and then repair to get program functional
Pros: Easy To Transport, Easy To Use, Scans Quickly
Cons: Difficult To Sync, Works Slowly

I have to do some editing and the problems are not consistent. Sometimes have problems with one card from a given company but another card works well
Pros: Scans Quickly, Good Resolution
Cons: Can't read complex script, Can't process Arabic

I wish the software would allow for remembering entries already in the database. I often collect cards from the same office and wish I didn't have to keep retyping the office name and address.
