Great product with a software 'glitch'

I love my CardScan 800c. I took it with me on my recent trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi (16-hrs non-stop from Houston). I was able to send contact information and paste business card images every evening to my management back here in the US. BUT there IS a glitch in the software that has caused me to LOSE contact information. The problem comes from the way CardScan stores it's CardScanId information (used for the image of the business card). When I synchronize with my Palm Desktop there are inconsistencies in where the CardScanID is found. The CardScan Executive software (running CardScan Team, Version 8.0.5) does not properly manage the location of the CardScanId field. The CardScan Duplicates Wizard does not catch when that information has been moved, and will delete records that are not truely duplicastes. I have worked with Customer Support mid-summer, but at that time they were not able to resolve the issue. I will send them an email to get an update. I hope they have found a resolution.

Won't communicate with Mozilla

It will not communicate with Mozilla Thunderbird which is what I prefer to use over Outlook. I was told when I bought it by the "sales person" that it would if I upgraded to a new executive model. So I did.... I was mis-lead. It's a great tool but I can not sync it to my Blackberry. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Pros: Good Resolution, Easy To Use
Cons: Inaccurate, Difficult To Sync

Great Time Saving Device

My CardScan 700c has been a great addition to my tradeshow operations. Entering the contacts, and making notes while the conversation is fresh, is a great way to stay productive during slow times, allows for more timely distribution of marketing materials after the show and for future contacts

Don't Ever Lose Your Contacts Again

I think one of the best things about The CardScan is that they offer a free Online backup for anyone who has a Cardscan. Never lose your contacts again. This has come in handy on 2 occasions when my computer HD Crashed.
Pros: Good Resolution, Easy To Use, Easy To Transport, Scans Quickly
Cons: Sometimes is Inaccurate
