I have a boss who travels a lot and comes back with lots of business cards which I used to keep in a physical card sorter on my desk but now quickly scan them in and categorise them under each visit. It's easy therefore to find the cards of a meeting he attended. Be careful however as sometimes it reads the cards incorrectly

I meet with vendors everyday. I have a stack of business cards on my desk every week that I used to dread transferring into Outlook. Now I just scan the card and it stores the contact info and syncs it to my BlackBerry in seconds.
Pros: BlackBerry Sync feature, Good Resolution, Scans Quickly, Easy To Use, Easy To Transport
Cons: Inaccurate, Web support is inadequete

Good product but pricey S/W upgrades

- Compared to others I have tried, this one actually works! - Limited print-out capability from the contact database. I.e. can not print both front and back of cards at same time, or front, back and notes. - S/W upgrade prices I believe are very high when coupled with a lock in on the hardware - Very unimpressed that you FORCE an expensive s/w upgrade in order to make Windows Vista work. Don't blame Microsoft for this one either. Others are doing it without charge.
Pros: Easy To Use, Scans Accurately, Good Resolution, Scans Quickly
Cons: Difficult To Search, Frontback print at once

My only hope is that, over time, software gets closer to perfect in properly catagorizing scanned data nearly all of the time, instead of most of the time

It has a bit of trouble at times with dark cards and cuts off the top. Most times, scanning from the bottom up and rotating with the software works around the glitch.
Pros: Good Resolution, Easy To Transport, Scans Quickly, Easy To Use, Scans Accurately, 1001 Uses
Cons: Quirky with dark cards

The one true issue I have with this version of CardScan is that a business card scan cannot be added to a current contact listing. It would be far more productive to have the ability of adding a front scan after a contact has been listed.
