I would not buy this product again.

I use this product to scan cards to multiple peoples Outlook. Also, the goal was to have a database created from all the cards. Depending on the design of the cards it sometimes misses the name of the company and puts information into the wrong fields. Also, the service staff is not very helpful. They always refer me to website instead of walking me through it on the phone.
Cons: Inaccurate, Difficult To Search
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use device...

This is the second cardscan device I have had. I've always liked the ease of scanning and the ability to search for names. Negatively, I've had difficulty synching with other devices and databases.
Pros: Good Resolution, Easy To Use, Scans Accurately, Scans Quickly
Cons: Difficult To Sync

Outlook and my Blackberry are nice resources for my contacts but the Quarterback that puts all the information in useful easy to use format is Cardscan. My contact database would remain a stack of business cards in a rubber band if it wasn't so easy to put them all in a streamlined format to access.
Pros: Easy To Use, Easy To Transport, Scans Accurately
Cons: Difficult To Sync

Rock solid prodcut and software

Product works as advertised, and very well. There is very little post scanning editing needed. In general, the softare captures all data correctly the first time. Sync with Lotus Notes is tricky but I suspect that is more of a Lotus problem than Cardscan. Well worth the investment!
Pros: Easy To Use, Little editing needed, Scans Accurately, Scans Quickly, Good Resolution
Cons: Sync with Notes is tricky

A must have tool for sales

Networking is part of my routine. Cardscan is a better, faster way of getting contact information into outlook and out to my Blackberry. I've been using Cardscan since the scanners had parallel ports. I can't imagine entering contact info by hand anymore. For me the pros are: color, power from the USB port, good software, up to date interfaces for Outlook & Blackberry & Windows Mobile. The cons are: accuracy (sometime). In fairness, this is a problem only with unusual artwork and typefaces.[...]. Suggestion: I would like to run credit card and gas receipts thru the scanner.
Pros: Good Resolution, Scans Quickly, Easy To Use

The Web Cardscan Account Saved Me!

What I like about the CardScan Executive is that it comes with Web-based account. If you aren't near your own PC and you need contact info quickly. lust logon to www.Cardscan.com, you can retrieve your contacts quickly. I've used three earlier models of CardScan and I am really impressed with the improvement in quality that you now get with the CardScan Executive. All my sales reps have gone out and gotten their own after seeing mine. I wouldn't work without it!

I don't need to hold on to all my contacts cards in a large book anymore. I can log into CardScan.net mobile or on my lap top.

The back bone of my marketing database

Fast and handy to use, the data base as a reference is very good, but the syncronising drives me crazy any time I change Hardware or software, they need to keep up to date and it does not sync with google
