Know contacts changes before competition

CardScan enables me to keep up-to-date with my customers and prospects as they change positions within their companies or move to new organizations. This has helped alert me to new sales opportunities that I would have otherwise missed. It also helps me to remove outdated contacts periodically from my database. I use CardScan Executive at trade shows to scan each days' collection of business cards. I write notes on the reverse of the cards, scan front and back into CardScan, and then transcribe my handwritten notes from the image on the cards' reverse site into the Notes field in CardScan, which makes the notes available to me in Outlook. Synchronization with Microsoft Outlook works perfectly. I wish that CardScan supported synchronization of *ALL* Outlook fields so that I could have an online record of my contacts' summer addresses which Outlook allows me to record in the set of third address fields in "Other Address." CardScan should also sync the photo of my contacts stored in Outlook. Since there are so few sync applications available, a helpful new syncronization feature would be for CardScan to *ASLO* sync selected contacts (filtered by one or more categories) to my Windows Live Mail contacts account -- the account I use for personal (non-business) email.

Cons: Could be much smaller

Superb Product but very pricy. Bought Exec model to handle odd size cards. Have not tried to use the on-line service yet. Having a lttle difficulty with my Outlook sync only because it is tied to exchange and my Smart Phone also has separate sync so somethimes errors occur. Not sure of exact problem. Took it to a trade show and even handled thick plastic badges used on swipe machines. Worked GREAT! Allowed for fast use and prospects loved it no filling out anything but captured all info on card without renting machine from tradeshow. Great scanning. Great Images. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!

Use it almost daily

I use this a few times a week. One of my best uses is to cut out attendee lists from conferences and feed like business cards into scanner. I can process 100 names and addresses in a snap.
Pros: Simple process to follow, High level of accuracy
Cons: Had integration problems

Finally a scanner that easily captures a business card's info. I am now able to have all my contacts both on my computer AND on my Blackberry. What a great product.
