Great tool recommended to me by the editor of a magazine as his solution to keeping his contacts up to date. I agree! The OCR capabilites of CardScan are remarkably good. Sure it gets fooled but the vast majority of the time it handles cards from all corners of the globe with ease. Ease is probably the operative word when it comes to CardScan. And, you can retrieve cards while on the road using AtYourService! Only improvement could be for handling oversized foreign cards - but even these can be coaxed thru the scanner.
Pros: Works Efficiently, Easy To Use, Small Footprint, Reliable Performance
Cons: Oversized Foreign Cards

I think my "middle of the road" evaluation is due to my limited understanding of just how to effectively use all, of it's many features. I would very like much to understand more on how to use it. Otherwise it helps me keep track of all the business cards I accumulate. It has many positives. I guess what I am saying it the device is under utilized.

Cons: To many features to learn, Hard to use, Unreliable Performance

Productive Organization for the layman!

Card Scan has simplified my business needs. I go to one place for all my contacts. I am a visual person (learning) as 80% of us are. I can remember pictures easier than names. Along with the quick search - everything is at my finger tips...literally. I have it loaded on a Samsung Q1 Ultra (ultra mobile pc), before that is was a OQO 01+ and the program never crashed. I am more effective at being productive and mobile at the same time (also ease of use when in the office as well). this is the single best purchase business purchase for me in the last year.

I work in procurement and get plenty of salespeople through my door. Cardscan makes it simple to add contacts to my database. I've had many of them ask me about Cardscan. It's a great tool.
