Essential Business Tool

Important to double check the listings, locations of placed items and for some reason the names get carried to the next scan, so be careful But with a close eye, it saves a TON of time from manually inputting.
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Inaccurate

I would like to see the ability to accept duplicates so when I check for duplicates I don't see the ones I have accepted before again. There are valid reasons I have some cards that seem like duplicates and also some that are being picked up as dups are not. Also for some reason it seems like most times there is an apostrophe "s" in the company name it makes it an upper case "s". So John's Company becomes John'S Company. Not a big deal but just would save on the cleanup I have to do.
Pros: Easy To Use, Easy To Transport
Cons: Works Slowly

Expensive compared to the Competition

Mispelled words, inaccurate information in data field. Hard to work the software. I am still learning after 3 months of use. Still cannnot work the program to send a group e-mail or fax.
Pros: Easy To Transport, Hard to work with dups, Good Resolution
Cons: Inaccurate, Enters data in wrong fiel
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You can use the link attached to learn how to send a group email. Fax will only work if your computer is attached to a modem and you have configured the software to use it.

Cleanest way to consolidate your contact databases! I use it to link home and work addresses.
Pros: Scans Quickly, Easy To Transport, Easy To Use, Good Resolution, Scans Accurately

The issue I have is importing my old data, many of the data merge was a duplicate. I went from 860 data to 1,400 data, this software (Very Expensive)does not have an auto feature like Outlook or others to remove duplicates, I called tech and they told me to click on duplicates and I have to delete one by one. So in this respect Cardscan falls short for an expensive unit. Not much new stuff from my old cardscan. The tech people should start using and learn to use the product and take advise from users seriously. I now bought NeatWorks, all in one system, great product, much more detailed as to collecting information, so I will compare it for a while, but the unit is not to travel, so if you use it at home or office only, this is the answer. Cardscan people should look at it to get up to speed and ad features since they charge so much, in bad times greety companies usually will go out of business.

Good value and a huge time saver

Other than a minor synchronization issue related to our corporate server configuration it has been 100% pain free. It saves me at least an hour a week entering cards in addition to time saved searching for contacts. I would recommend it to anybody that has to deal with adding business cards to their databases regularly.
