Serious disappointment with the freezer door

We recently purchased this unit, but after a couple of months the freezer door refused to stay shut when we closed the bottom refrigerator door.
The closing of the lower door caused the freezer door to pop open, thereby allowing the cold air to escape and (more importantly) allowing the warm, moist room air inside the freezer. This resulted in considerable amounts of frost to quickly build up in the freezer, making things a mess.
Clearly, the seal used on the freezer door is not properly designed. After some research on the topic, we found that we are not alone in having this problem. Given how many people have experienced this problem, it makes us question the product quality testing by Frigidaire for their other products.
We are truly disappointed by this kind of problem in which a critical and well-understood product part would fail so easily. This does not make Frigidaire look good at all, and unless we can somehow find a solution to this problem, we will not be purchasing any Frigidaire products in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
