FREEZER TEMP!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for a week. I bought it specifically because it was "garage-ready" - I live in So.Cal, so temps don't get that cold. However, my freezer is registering at 6-14 degrees F! that's just wrong!
...wish my old fridge hadn't died, because it could HANDLE IT! never a problem. and I don't understand why!

Hey cherneumann, the minimum operating temperature of a refrigerator that is garage ready (or that has a garage kit installed) is 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the ambient temperature drops below 55°F, please adjust the freezer control to the coldest setting to improve performance. When the ambient temperature gets below 34°F, the refrigerator will not run at all. So eventually the temperature in the freezer and the fresh food section will become the same as the ambient temperature. So let’s say the ambient temperature has been around 25 degrees for some time. This would mean that the temperature in both sections would be close to 25 degrees. 25 degrees is too cold for the fresh food section and food will start to freeze. 25 degrees is not cold enough for the freezer and things will start to thaw.
