Decent Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first fridge had so many problems within two months they replaced it! The second one so far is okay except it has the worse ice maker I have ever seen. It is absurdly noisy and the ice spits out like it was shot from a canon. What's good about? The no finger print surface is great and the freezer draw is very good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fingers crossed!

Our previous refridgerator worked perfectly except for during the winter at which time, the freezer would not work. We purchased this one as it claims to be garage-ready. So as I say, fingers crossed, as the winter months approach.

Jrsr, thank you for choosing to become part of the extended Frigidaire family! Your refrigerator is garage ready. The minimum operating temperature of a garage ready refrigerator is 34 degrees Fahrenheit. When the ambient temperature gets below this, the refrigerator will not run at all. So eventually the temperature in the freezer and the fresh food section will become the same as the ambient temperature. So let’s say the ambient temperature has been around 25 degrees for some time. This would mean that the temperature in both sections would be close to 25 degrees. 25 degrees is too cold for the fresh food section and food will start to freeze. 25 degrees is not cold enough for the freezer and things will start to thaw. Things such as meat and ice-cream must be around 0 degrees to stay frozen but things that would be in the fresh food section such as water, soda, beer, eggs or milk will start to freeze at 32 degrees. Noisy

Hey Gretchir! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I recommend making sure that the freezer door is closing and the gasket is sealed properly. I also recommend checking your Owner's Manual (page 15) to make sure that the sounds that you're hearing are not part of the refrigerator's normal operation. It is the perfect size and has plenty of separate storage. I am looking forward to another 25 years or more with this unit.
