Cheap cardboard plate that covers the components

Just had this refrigerator installed in my garage to replace one that finally died. It was not getting cold so I looked behind the unit to discover the panel that covers the compressor is made of thin piece of cardboard (not sheet metal). Was told by the dealer they are all being made this way. I have only had it 2 days so will be interesting to see how long it takes for the mice to make this their new home.

OK size, doesn't keep cold very well
