poor cooling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer has been set to maximum cooling, but the freezer cannot keep ice cream frozen. The ice maker no longer makes more than 1 tray of ice a day. The fridge is only 3 months old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

mongo6407, I can only imagine how frustrating this may have been for you. If you install your refrigerator in a garage or other unheated area, you may experience freezer temperature problems during the winter months when temperatures dip below 55° F. Upgrading your refrigerator with a Garage Kit will lower the minimum operating temperature of your unit to 34° F (page 15 in your Owner’s Manual). Even with a garage kit, sustained exposure to ambient temperatures below 39°F will likely result in freezing of food and beverages stored in the refrigerator section. Not worth it

Purchased this refrigerator 6 days ago and had to have it serviced already. Refrigerator section was not cooling. Part replaced on a new unit. Hard to believe in the poor workmanship
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

leaking water in the fridge in less than 2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] water leaks in the fridge constantly. A repair man came out to fix it and they cannot. my fridge was less than 2 years and has a problem and is out of warranty and the repair man doesn't know how to fix it either. Do not buy this fridge

Surpasses Expectations!

My husband and I bought this, mainly for its cubic foot size, its width (cabinet width and wall space), and the price, a value for the name Frigidaire, which has a reputation that goes back to the '50s and '60s for me, individually, as my parents bought a Frigidaire that had faithfully remained operating until my father passed away in 2008. So far, this unit has lived up to expectations and beyond. My husband and I was super surprised at how well it is kept frozen foods frozen. We can't even keep ice cream in our chest freezer frozen to the level that this unit does. The refrigeration part, everything is kept cold, at the temperature that keeps the food from going bad. Thank you, employees of Frigidaire! You're keeping the reputation alive!

Great, basic fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this after my thirty-year-old Whirlpool finally gave up the ghost. Great little fridge; basic, no-frills operation. Roomy and super cold. Would absolutely recommend to others. Only frustration [and not with this particular model - just generally across the appliance industry] is that it seems product dimensions have evolved over time; I was unable to find any model which fit perfectly in my space and matched the dimensions of my old fridge. Pleased with this purchase and am looking forward to years of quality usage.
