Great Fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator gets high marks from me...it is super quiet, spacious, and I LOVE the fact that I can now put a gallon of milk on the door, that is a great feature. Freezes and refrigerates everything to perfection, it is wonderful!

Garage fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it's serving its purpose as an overflow fridge/freezer. HOWEVER, for those of you looking to keep your new fridge in the garage: A week after we got it, we noticed the ice cream was melting, so we called a tech. He said that because the outdoor temps were so low, the freezer turned itself off. So while the outdoor temps were freezing, the inside of the freezer was not as cold as it should be. He installed a heater to "trick" the freezer into running, but he said not to count on that. He also said all freezers are made to do this now, so plan accordingly.

LaurieV, I am sorry to hear of your refrigerator experience. Unless clearly marked for garage use, our refrigerators are intended for indoor use. If you install your refrigerator in a garage or other unheated area, you may experience freezer temperature problems during the winter months when temperatures dip below 55° F. Upgrading your refrigerator with a Garage Kit will lower the minimum operating temperature of your unit to 34° F. Even with a garage kit, sustained exposure to ambient temperatures below 39°F will likely result in freezing of food and beverages stored in the refrigerator section.
