Has been working great, but now that it is cold, the freezer is hovering around 10-20 degrees. Learned i need to either buy a garage kit or move it inside. Never ran into this with other fridges, kind of a disappointment.

Yikes! Shapechanger, I am sorry to hear of your displeasure in your new refrigerator. Do not install your refrigerator where the temperature will drop below 55°F (13°C) or rise above 110°F (43°C). The compressor will not be able to maintain proper temperatures inside the refrigerator (page 5 in your Owner’s Manual). If you install your refrigerator in a garage or other unheated area, you may experience freezer temperature problems during the winter months when temperatures dip below 55° F. Upgrading your refrigerator with a Garage Kit will lower the minimum operating temperature of your unit to 34° F (page 15 in your Owner’s Manual). This kit can be ordered by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST@ 800-724-7519. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Energy efficient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We haven’t seen how this has impacted the electric bill, as I’ve have only had it for a month. We downsized from a French door fridge to this to become more energy efficient so we can eventually power this fridge by solar. After hurricane Irma, we started looking for other options. This fits much more than my French door fridge. I like it so far. It has a couple of funky noises when it is running, but it’s okay.
I would recommend this to a friend!
