What I Needed for a Good Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator less than two months ago. It has functioned as expected. I like a top freezer for its efficiency. The size is big enough for a family of four, although it will be used in a rental house with only one renter.

We’ve had this refrigerator for about 15 months. Following start-up instructions we set the controls for maximum cold freezer temperature. The freezer compartment never got cold enough to keep ice cream from becoming very soft. We did the “gasket test inspection” by slipping a sheet of paper between the door and freezer edges and determined that the gasket sealed properly. We purchased this box to provide backup refrigerator capacity for our main refrigerator/freezer. We didn”t HAVE to use the freezer compartment. We only use the refrigerator compartment because it works fine, otherwise we would have tried to return it.

Now the plastic refrigerator door handle has cracked at the top of the handle where it is attached with 2 screws on the top of the door. I can tell from the owners manual that my particular box has a plastic handle, however there isn’t a parts table so I don’t know how to try to buy a new handle. Hopefully someone will read this and tell me how to get a replacement handle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
