Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge is very noisy. Every time it starts up it makes a loud noise for about 5 minutes. We purchased it, took it home, unloaded it, set up in the house and plugged it in, waited for it too cool, thinking maybe it just had to warm up and the noise would go away, already very time consuming. We should have taken it back but that would have been a lot more work. Load it back up, go to the store, return it, find another one,
start all over again....... Very disappointed in this fridge.

The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. I recommend checking your Owner's Manual (page 18) for other normal sounds from your refrigerator. Noisy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator about 2 months ago and it is louder than the broken one I got rid of. Had the service men come out to look at it and they said that its just a normal compressor noise. I've NEVER had a refrigerator so loud when it starts up and stays that while for a good while. Wish I could have listened to it before I bought it! Very disappointed!

These refrigerators are equipped with low energy consumption fans and compressors that will run most of the time, and only stop when a defrost cycle is needed to thaw ice buildup in the freezer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it - perfect size for the two of us. One dissatisfaction, however, regarding the door shelving. There is a space between the shelf and the bar across holding items in. If you put a slim jar there, like capers, A-1 sauce, they fall down through the opening onto the floor.
