Hey Ghlam, our records show that you had a garage kit installed. Once the ambient temperature drops below 55°F adjust the freezer control to the coldest setting. The minimum operating temperature of a refrigerator that has a garage kit installed is 34°F. When the ambient temperature gets below 34°F, the refrigerator will not run at all. So eventually the temperature in the freezer and the fresh food section will become the same as the ambient temperature. Experience And Suggestion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge, because the price was right. Was very happy with it, until the temperature dropped. I bought the fridge for a garage fridge. The freezer worked fine until the temp got below 40 degrees. Then, it would work intermittently as the temp would be above 40 degrees in the day and below 40 degrees, at night. One day, when it was cold all day, now winter in Minnesota, I came home and everything was defrosted. I called Frigidaire and told them the freezer wasn't working. They asked if it was in the garage and got cold out there. I said, "Yes". The lady proceeded to tell me I needed a part to make it work when the air temp outside the fridge got below 40 degrees. Frigidaire sent the part no charge and would pay for the installation by a local shop. Moral of the story; Frigidaire, make stores that sell this product, inform the customer of this before they buy it. Have the store use a pre-sale check sheet or put a sticker on the product. The refrigerator works good, now that the part is installed. But, having everything in your freezer defrost, unknowingly, is bad business. I rate the refrigerator based on performance 5 stars after the part was put in. The rating above is because I should not have had to go through that experience in the first place.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for a large expensive unit I had previously that had stopped working and was going to be very costly to repair. I wanted a basic unit due to the frustration of the more expensive unit only lasting a couple years before having a major breakdown and costing me a lot of food loss. This fridge has worked without a hitch and does exactly what I expect it to. I read some reviews that said it was noisy but my living room chair is right near the doorway to the kitchen and although it is not silent I am never bothered by the sound and feel it is about normal in that regard. I would purchase the same unit again if I had to do it over.
