Great fridge

Don't put in a cold garage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator works fine but freezer quit working once winter came. I was not aware the freezer would not work below 50 degrees when I bought it for the garage. Apparently does not have garage part/package installed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NoFreezer, to help with the temperature, you can have a garage kit installed. Once the ambient temperature drops below 55°F, you would then adjust the freezer control to the coldest setting to improve performance. The minimum operating temperature of a refrigerator that is garage ready (or one that has a garage kit installed) is 34°F. When the ambient temperature gets below 34°F, the refrigerator will not run at all. So eventually the temperature in the freezer and the fresh food section will become the same as the ambient temperature. Great inexpensive refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator one month ago, and it is a great bargain for the price. It is virtually plug and play -- no real setup required. Note that I have only had the refrigerator for a month, so I cannot comment on the reliability of the unit. Hopefully it will last for many years and require little or no repairs. If Frigidaire were really concerned with providing accurate, worthwhile product information they would collect this information from customers each year of ownership and make it easily available to help others make their puchasing decisions.
I have not tracked the running time/frequency of the refrigerator yet, but it is VERY quiet and virtually unnoticeable when running. I also have not changed the temperature settings yet, but it has held a steady temperature since I got it, as determined by the refrigerator thermometer I keep in it at all times.
The top freezer provides sufficient room for my needs and has a single wire shelf which can be moved to one of two positions/heights. Again, exactly what you would expect from a refrigerator at this price.
A couple things to consider before you purchase this refrigerator:
- no ice maker (a plus in my opinion)
- wire shelves, not glass; some items, such as 2-liter sodas, do not stand well on wire shelves
- minimal shelf adjustability
- the door shelves cannot be adjusted; this is unfortunate because certain items, like standard 16 oz. bottles of water and smaller items, tend to slip off the door shelves in spite of the retaining strip
