We bought the refrigerator a month ago to replace a freezer in the garage. The freezer isn't what we expected. It doesn't freeze cold enough to freeze ice cream. It was explained to us why that is the case but, never the less, we are disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple is Good

We just needed a basic fridge for our house as we are probably going to sell in the next year. And this one fit the bill. And it came in cheaper than others and it was bigger. I can't say how it may last. but if its anything like the Fridgedaire basic fridge we replaced, I'd say 10+years would be great!

It has plenty of room and has a nice design. The shelf in the freezer helps keep food separated and store it better. It also conserves on energy.

It works but...

It works but won't freeze ice cream or cool to 38.

Hi Lontrell!
I understand that your ice cream is not freezing or your refrigerator is cooling to 38. A typical residential freezer should keep its contents at temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit. However, little or none of the water contained in ice cream will freeze at those temperatures. For this reason, ice cream in typical residential freezers will not possibly freeze solid. I was also able to see that your temperature ranges from cold to colder. If you are using a manual thermometer, it will only read the temperature of where it is located and not the overall refrigerator.
