Worse than the 20 year old model it replaced!

Temperature fluctuations on this unit are absolutely insane. Freezer goes from -20 to +30. The fridge goes from +29 to +41 with regularity. Can’t keep the fridge and freezer the appropriate temperature at the same time. There is ice forming on the roof of the fridge, and have just noticed frost buildup on the area where a light cover should be at the back of the fridge. This item replaced a decades old Kenmore unit that had the same problems, except to a much lesser degree and had glass shelves. Apparently I should have kept that as this unit appears to be junk.

Hi, Mfp41685! Thanks for bringing your concerns to our attention. The refrigerator temperature should be kept at or below 40° F and the freezer temperature should be 0° F. We suggest setting the control to the coldest setting and allowing 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.
Many refrigerators do not have light covers due to the design, which is normal. Regarding the frost buildup, please ensure the door is leveled and the gasket is seated properly. If the door is not leveled correctly, it may cause an air leak causing moisture and frost build-up. We hope this helps! Bad Choice!

Within a month of buying this refrigerator, we noticed the freezer was not completely freezing our food, even after moving it to the highest cooling setting. Within another month to two months, the compressor went out and was blowing oil out the back. Both the refrigerator and freezer went out. The repairman told us that Frigidaire was the cheapest made refrigerator out there. Will never buy another Frigidaire!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Completely dissatisfied. It is so noisy! my old fridge wad so quiet I had to go into the kitchen to hear it run. There is never a doubt when this new one kicks on! Also it will not keep ice cream frozen.

I see that you are experiencing issues with your refrigerator being noisy and your Ice cream not freezing. You may experiences different noises with your refrigerator, such as the compressor being loud at start up, air rushing, snapping, humming, vibrating sounds are more, which are normal. Also, a typical residential freezer should keep its contents at temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit. However, little or none of the water contained in ice cream will freeze at those temperatures. For this reason, ice cream in typical residential freezers should not freeze solid. The thermostat had to be replaced in less than 2 months. Very disappointed. Also, it took 3 weeks to get the part and get it installed.
