Does Not Work Like Instructions Indicate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a Christmas gift and when I tried to use it today, it did not work like explained. First, the green light would randomly go on and off. It would stay green after I put in the batter and then turn off like a minute later. Another minute later and it would go back on. My second issue is the waffle never became crispy or brown on the outside. I attempted 3 waffles and none of them became brown on the outside. I had on maximum temperature for a long time. The last one was over 10 minutes and instead of crispy the waffle was soft and soggy. Gross.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked well for a little while

I purchased this waffle maker and it worked well for a while, but the last two times I've used it the waffle separates and each side sticks to the plates. I ended up scratching the non-stick surface by trying to pry the waffle out from each side, so now I can't use it at all. Also, the ready light doesn't always work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cant get waffle to open,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw this and looked forward to having belgian waffles at home since I can no longer travel to restruants, nor afford them, Oster has been a big name in out family since our first blender seen at home show in late 60's , Hard to clean, drips batter over counter, as we fill lower tray only to just below ridges, and than close lid an flip, Wait fo rGreen light on under side, than reflip and CANT open up, Seem waffle is glue together,

Nice but not as good as I hoped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about two months ago and have yet to find a batter that will fill the waffle cavit without going over. The perimeter area needs better heating coils because the perimeter of the waffle is the least brown. I leave the waffle in about 1.25 minutes longer than the light coming on to get golden waffles. Otherwise, they are almost the same color as the original batter.

Easy to use!

I just bought this product yesterday and made some awesome waffles for breakfast today. Easy to clean, as well as not too heavy to move! So far, I am happy with this choice. I have been looking for a cover for it but so far no luck. If Oster has one, please advise where to find it.
