[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had a washer/dryer before, so cant compare to much. But so far, so good. Solid product. Dryer takes a long time, otherwise pretty good.

An excellent product for tight spaces. Does an outstanding job of washing and drying slightly smaller loads. Is not noisy.

I love my Thin Twin Washer/Dryer Combo!
on February 13, 2015

The Whirlpool Thin Twin Combination Washer/Dryer has all of the options you need and it's super skinny so it fits in the tightest of spaces! :)It is quick, thorough, and has options to cover any type of garment you need washing. If you have particularly mucky clothes or harsh stains, you have pre-soak options as well as a program for heavy stains. The machine is constantly in use at my home - at least every other day. From all of the online reviews I have read, it seems that this machine can last at least 15 - 20 years, which is excellent for any washer/dryer, particularly at this very competitive (relative to other compact models with similar dimensions) price point. It has been in my home for over 8 years already without one hitch. In fact, we had them in all six of the units in my building over 8 years ago and we're yet to have a single issue with any of them so that gives you a sense of their reliability!! :DAs for how thoroughly they wash and dry; The lint/particle catcher on the centre paddle of the washer always catches stray fibres, pet hair and orphaned bobbles from clothes so a quick check every few washes (which takes all of about 3 seconds) keeps things clean and reassures me that the washing phase really is catching a lot of stuff I don't want stuck to my cleaned clothes! Then there's the dryer - and there is a vertical tray Inside the drier, on the backside wall. It is very easy to remove and clean - takes about 10 seconds. I do this every few cycles and find a LOT of lint/pet hair in there, which is again reassuring because it means that it's not sticking to my clean clothes anymore!I have never had any garments ripped, shredded or in any way harmed by the paddle and type of motion utilised - even on the most aggressive wash settings. This said, I do always place delicately constructed pieces, knitted garments or thin fabrics inside a zippable mesh washing bag as a safety measure (but I'd do this with any washing machine). In summary, if you have a tight space or you simply don't want your washer/dryer to take up a huge footprint, go with this Thin Twin from Whirlpool - it's may not appear to be the most technologically advanced machine in the world when you gaze upon the control panel, but it offers all of the control you'll ever need (apart from a timer/delay for when to start the wash/dry). All of the fancy-looking options you get on these digital bunnies are smoke and mirrors for precisely the same wash that you get here for a fraction of the price.Thank you, Whirlpool, for making this amazing, slender beast. I'm definitely going to go with another Whirlpool washer/dryer when this one finally retires (if I outlive it!)

I bought this unit for my mom who is 84 yrs. old and she had her laundry in the basement. She loves having her laundry upstairs now, and it's all hidden in a hall closet! The machine is very quiet and easy to operate!

Easy to use.

The only problem I have is the dryer door clasp is very tight and hard to open. I like it because my old dryer had no variety of heat. Also, now I can wash smaller loads without filling up the washer with water.
