I was excited about this TV...But.. Been having issues since day one. Movies exit and switch to another channel. Another issue is I’m Debating on wether on not I’m having internet issues or it is the TV. Not looking good right now!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great TV, BUT

Super Picture. But sound quality is only so,so. The manual is awful and doesn't show the A/V connections block on the back of the screen. Since the TV is large, it is not easy to see behind the screen or to the locate the ports by touch. The Smart Hub is nice and accessible, but the digital optical audio output from the hub is not modulated by the TV remote necessitating the use of two remotes, one for the TV and one for the audio system. Perhaps a better manual would help solve the problem, but the manual is somewhat vague because it seems to serve multiple TV models.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: needs better info on external audio system hook up
I would recommend this to a friend!

Tv is okay , remote doesn’t respond sometime and it doesn’t connect to my new S8 I’ve to use my chrome cast that work much better then the TV cast
Samsung Is forcing advertisements on my own TV (On the smart HUB) and there is no way to stop that .. I would not recommend a smart TV from them anymore

" I really thought I would just be half way satisfied. I wanted an OLED TV. I say with all honesty. I LOVE this TV. The clarity, the deep blacks, the rainbow of colors of this TV, are way more than I expected. Anyways, this 8000 series is a work of art. Samsung, THUMBS UP !!!!! "

Really Love This TV

I feel like this is the best TV I have ever owned. Picture quality is perfect, TV responds fast to remote, every thing on it works. Over all its is great.
But I would love to see an firmware update that would Add a Clock to the display menu when changing channels, or somewhere. So i can hit a menu button and see what time it is.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, fast response time, easy to use, fast setup
Cons: no clock in menu, needs toggles for turning off/on display settings, needs to show current time in channel menu

Nice Picture So Far . . .

I have only had this set for probably less than a month and so far everything seems fine with respect to picture quality. The less than 5-star rating is due to a couple of other things. First, the paperwork that came with the set, which I guess is what passes as "instructions" these days was a joke and essentially useless. What should of taken like 10 minutes or less to set-up, took me probably 30 to 45 minutes while I tried to decipher the paperwork (basically the graphics/pictures). The second major issue or problem is the fact that this set only has HDMI input connections (and only 4 at that) for video sources (not counting an over-the air antenna input jack). The salesman failed of course to mention this, and it never crossed my mind to ask. There are NO connections for things like component cables, etc. Oddly, there is a single connection for an optical audio cable.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: limited input connections, poor assembly instructions
