Very Rough on Clothes

I was excited to get this machine. However it doesn't seem to get clothes clean and is incredibly rough on clothes. Everything I own is pilling and a couple of shirts actually have gotten holes. Blankets and towels that have been washed for years are now not soft. My son's shirts that he uses to work-out have to be washed multiple times to get rid of odors.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased month and half ago. Very efficient in water usage, clothes seem to be cleaner than our old top loading. Also very quiet. Ours is located off of the kitchen and with the utility room door closed, it can barely be heard.
