Bad experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only gave this bad review bacause this is the sencond washer. I called the day after I had my new washer and dryer installed because the washer was leaking. They replaced the washer with another unit, and it had the same problem. I am currently trying to get this resolved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Many features but combo must be placed together

This appliance has many great features but it must be placed next to the same model GE dryer for the steam feature to work.

machines is ok so far!! the only thing that I don't like is water remaining in the detergent dispenser!! so far so good!!

Good Washer. Poor Quality Control

I received the washer and the basket would not rotate. I had already taken out my old washer and was leaving on vacation on the next Monday (with in-laws watching my three kids while we were gone). Given the need to keep laundry moving through the house and not wanting to add complexity from a service visit where I wouldn't be there - I opened the back panel and found that the motor was simply not connected. I also found a leak due to a poorly tightened hose clamp in the back (internal to the washer). Not huge problems, but indicative of poor quality control and proof that they did not op-check the washer prior to shipment. Hopefully those are the only issues.
Since correcting those problems, I haven't had any trouble with the washer and it cleans well. It has a great capacity - perfect for a family of five.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this with the dryer, but happier with my dryer than with this. It does its job and more, and I am not sure why I am not sold on it.
