Interface Board failed within hours of operation and locked our clothes in it for 4 days.

Beautiful appearance with lots of bells & whistles. I pray the existing leak around the exterior opening of the door doesn't get worse over time. I purchased GE Products because they are well known, quality products over the years. I gave an average rating in performance because water leaks around the exterior door. I see the water stains below the door opening. I called the store manager who promised to send technician to inspect but as of today --- "no show".

I have had the washer since June 1st. It does not get clothes clean. I have had two service guys try to fix it and now they say it is working as designed. I know it is suppose to use less water, but the clothes are not even all the way wet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stinks all the time and plenty of bleach cleaning done but continues to smell awful. Does not allow enough water to get clothes clean. Awful cleaning and I was warned by many people to not get a front load washer.

bumpy loud

horribly LOUD and have had 3 service calls in less than a month washer has leaked and had a new computer board replaced and still has water in the softener compartment and I dont use softener and washer had a loose shock was replaced and it still bounces around...time wise takes forever to to a load of laundry

Leaking and having trouble spinning

I've had this washer for less than 2 months. From the beginning it always slams back and forth when getting ready to spin like its out of balance but does stop once it's spinning. Still highly annoying to hear. Now in the past week it has started to leak water out the front left of the machine leaving puddles on my floor. This is my 3rd ge machine and all have been junk. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Also, leaks on a front load washer can be caused by soil and soap being left on the door seal after a wash. Please be sure to carefully wipe off the rubber door seal to prevent small leaks, making sure to wipe the edge of the gasket.

Poor quality

My wife and I are retired and only do laundry about every 2 to 3 weeks and the loads are still small. We purchased this machine 3 years ago and already the bearings in the tub are so loud you can hear the machine anywhere in the house and they will need to be replaced soon. Considering what we paid for the machine it should have been of much better quality.
