very happy so far. Features , ease of operation. The one improvement in design suggestion would be the soap dish. It has water in it all the time. You have to very light touch to get it out so not to spill any residual water. If it does spill, where does it go. were still trying to figure that out. Our imaginations say on the floor or into the frame works.

Purchased the washer and dryer as a combo. I am so impressed with the steam feature in both appliances. The washer spins clothes so dry that I can dry them the rest of the way in half the time my old dryer did. It is so attractive as well - never had "pretty" set before - just as functional as well.
I'd recommend this set especially to seniors as the height is pretty darned perfect. I spent quality money for the set instead of settling for a less expensive version then having to purchase pedestals to get them at a better level.

Great washer - too beautiful for garage!

After 17 years with a standard top loader/agitator, I was finally ready to treat myself to a nice new washer. This GE front loader is outstanding - the spin removes nearly all the water, leaving the clothes barely damp.
Make sure you follow the instructions on laundry soap. I used one HE tablet (same as what I was using in my old machine) for a full laundry basket of clothes on the Speed Wash setting. This is WAY too much soap! I had suds everywhere. Now I'm using 1/2 a tablet for the same amount of clothes on Speed Wash and that seems to be the right amount. Note that you're supposed to put tablets & packs directly in the washer basket (not in the dispenser).
Thanks GE for making a great USA designed and built washer!

Good machine

Replaced another popular mfg.'s model that lasted only 6 yrs. This new GE unit has only been installed for a week but so far works well. Clothes are clean, very quite cycles and seems to use very little water. This model design "RightHeight" without a lower drawer/stand so far eliminates the shake, rattle and roll and does not want to leave the house when in the spin cycle.Only negative is the end of cycle feature which is adjustable but even on loudest setting can't be heard from a distant room.

Terrible Wash Machine

This machine gave us trouble from the first day. The soap dispenser didn’t use up all the soap or fabric softener. Then it left water in the dispenser after the cycle was done. It is very loud. We went through 2 of these machines in 6 months, before we asked GE for a full refund on the wash machine. We ended up selling the matching dryer. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am happy with everything except the detergent and softener compartment. The water does not drain completely out after completing a load. The compartment has been replaced. A serviceman has checked it. Still not functioning properly. The compartment has to be emptied every time between loads. This is very discouraging!

Not worth the money...

Door leaks, clothes come out with tiny holes in them, cycles runs for an hour and half, must leave the door completely open and dry out the inside after running or stays wet with a musky odor.... Very dissatisfied...
