It Sucks

I have had it replace once for knocking sounds. The new one had the same problems, and parts were replaced.. Now it is doing the same thing again!!!

2-yr old and it's broken!

Worked great for 2 years. Started leaking water had a repair man come out, the outer tub and basket are broken and need to be replaced! Parts cost more then a new machine! Let's see what GE will do for me.

Mold growth, residue on outside of drum

This is our second front loader from GE. It has all the options. Unfortunately, even with following best practices, mold has grown on the seal and there’s an accumulation of orange residue on the outside of the drum that cannot be cleaned.

Horrible Quality!!!

Bought this washer/dryer set 4 years ago to replace our old top loaders at my wive's request. Three years go by and the washer began making a really loud noise during spin cycle. It turned out to be faulty bearings. It is unbelievable the short amount of time these washers last. After reading a few of the reviews in here I am convinced that these are cheaply made, but they charge the customer top dollars. Not worth the money nor the hassle. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY GE!!!!

Bearing went out in 3 years

Machine is awesome with some great features. issue is that the rear bearing went out in less than 3 years and destroyed the leveling ring which put grease everywhere in the unit and could not be cleaned. Price of new unit was less than to fix this one. If i didnt have the matching dryer, i would have bought a Maytag this round

Major Appliance - Major Disappointment

I've always had great experiences with GE appliances in the past and I expected to have many years of service with this washing machine also. Boy was I wrong. Three years old and the main tub shaft goes out and the PLASTIC casings disintegrated. Replacing this machine was only a few dollars more that the repair would have cost. I've had other GE washers that have lasted many many years. I guess that quality products are not a priority any longer. This new one is probably my last GE appliance as I have seen nothing to persuade me otherwise.

Barely got over 5 years use

Unfortunately, my previous review was moderated for an unknown reason. Hopefully, this review gets posted. I, like a few others, had this model go out on me shortly after the 5 year mark. The technician came out and basically told me I should buy a new washer. The cost to repair was as much as I paid for the unit brand new. What a shame.

Don’t waste your money

We bought all GE appliances for our new home we built in 2013. This washing machine has been repaired already once with replacing the top tub piece because one of the concrete balancers completely broke off and was down in the machine. Now it has happened again. Not to mention before this happened the machine would stop and not run the rinse and spin cycle. This was top of the line with features and very expensive. Now we have to go out and buy a new one because we are not throwing money back into this one. Very disappointed in this washing machine.
