Great Buy!

I researched this product on several sites, and then spoke with sales reps from a reputable family-owned appliance store. Because the appliance shop also services machines, they had definite opinions about different brands and their reliability. This particular model, because it is manufactured in GE's Louisville, KY plant, came well recommended; the service side of the shop is seeing far fewer problems with the U.S.-made machines. This model is extremely quiet, very attractive, and with a slightly narrower profile, fits nicely into our traditional-sized laundry room. The flexibility of switching the direction in which the dryer door opens was a bonus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

poor quality performance

i bought this product less than a month a ago and I'm have stability problems with the basket knocking the entire unit around.....not happy with this issue.

Leaks All Over The Floor

This machine looks great, washes great but when it comes to draining it is terrible. Whoever designed the way this machine drains did a terrible job; it leaves too many areas for water to get out which it does and it goes all over the floor underneath the machine and all along the bottom thus it will rust out quickly. GE has no fix for this yet probably because it is such a new machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband and I were looking for a new washer/dryer set and was afraid to buy a front loader due to all the rumors we heard about smell and not getting your clothes clean. The salesman assured us that this has been taken care of and he couldn't be more right. We love our front load washer! It definitely has all the bells & whistles and more settings than we'll probably ever use. The washer is extremely efficient and doesn't use a a ton of water (something I had to get use to), but we haven't been disappointed in the least bit. Not having to buy additional pedestals for underneath them was also a selling point. The only complaint I would have is the plastic on the outside of the door gets easily scratched, otherwise we're very happy with our purchase!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Won't spin a nomal load

The knob is easy to grip and large enough for my "stiff" fingers. I like the various cycles, since we all have allergies to dust mites.

Declining performance

I brought this front load washer less than 6 months ago. I have noticed that the cycle time shown on the display is no longer consistent with the actual time required to wash the load. The actual wash cycle time is currently 2X the time shown on the display.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
