Best fan on the market!

My wife picked up a Compact Vornado a couple years ago, noting that it cost more than other small household fans. But once we used it, we knew why. Since then, we've bought Compact Vornados for every room in the house, given them as gifts (great for grads heading to college or first apartment), and I keep one in my car for music gigs and the occasional noisy hotel room or snoring roommate - put it on high near your bed and you stay cool and undisturbed. THANKS for such a great product!!! Glad I finally looked at literature that comes with them to see your full line of products!

I have been using this fan in its different incarnations for, it seems to me, thirty years or so, and it is perfect. I could not have designed a better fan. I have had to purchase very few because they take many many years to wear out. I just wish Vornado still made the pedestal fan -- I still have one and hope it keeps going forever!

I love my Vornado. When anyone dares to call it a fan, I correct them; as it's not a mere fan - it's a VORNADO! I keep it next to my bed all year round and in the summer I haul it around with me; to work and other places - it's just awesome. Thank you Vornado for making such a superior product.

I use this product day and night, summer and winter, by placing it near the heat/cool vent in an upstairs bedroom which never quite cools by the air conditioner alone. It is quiet! I run it on high for an hour before I go to bed, and it pushes the warm air out of the room, then use the low setting to pull the cool air from the vent to sleep comfortably. I have owned a Vornado for about 15 years and liked it so well, that I bought this smaller model. This model is powerful and efficiently does the job. I'm thinking of buying a third for a different room. I Love this Product!! Powerful, long lasting, and quiet !

Quiet on low

In August I drove up to New England for a course and packed the fan in the car because in the evenings the temperature was in the 80's indoors. The first night in a b&b I put the fan on top of a table in front of the window air-con unit and it worked really well at taking the cool air and blowing it throughout the room. The next few nights in a college dorm room with no air-con, I put the fan on a shelf at the foot of my bed and adjusted it so air was blowing horizontally from the foot of the bed up and over me, I found the fan noise acceptable on low for quiet operation overnight. The compact 530 fan could be improved by adding a feature to auto-rotate from side to side but as it is now I appreciated its compact size, the range of manual vertical adjustment, its quietness on the lowest speed setting, and how on higher (louder) speeds it is powerful enough to act as a room air circulator on its own.

We don't have a/c (nor do we want it) and so we rely on fans in the summer. I was looking for a reliable, long-lasting fan, and chose this one because of positive reviews and the 5-year warranty. I like the fan: it's lightweight, easy to move around and it works well. Would definitely recommend it.

I love my Vornado 530 Fan!!

I love my 530 Fan. Use it everyday. Have had this fan for about 2 years, no problems until today, the three speed dial broke. Called customer service and they mailed another one out to me the next day, free of charge. Now thats A+++ Customer Service!!
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base
Cons: Three speed Dial broke.
