I’ve had this air purifier for about 8 years. It has lasted the test of time but there are somethings that I don’t like about it. First it does not oscillate which I didn’t read on the box when I bought it so granted it’s my fault. But if you want a purifier that swivels then this is not the purifier for you. Second, it does have a lot of power but it is very loud. Definitely too loud to sleep with at night even if it’s on the lowest setting. Lastly, the air does not blow straight out of the unit. When looking at the unit, all the air blows to the left. So you have to consider that when placing it in a spot because the air DOES NOT shoot straight out. All and all it does get the job done and too this day I do still use it in my living room and hallway.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought a month ago, nice features at removing smoke, but not the smoke smells, I am a smoker and it does not get rid of smells, of any kind.

Really loud

I've had mine for about 5 years and it's works great aside from how loud it is. I suffer from year round allergies and it's done the job. Other than that the filters are a bit pricey.

I bought this in Jan.2017 . i like the tower but it is noisy on the med level & thats the level that I mostly run it on.

clean air

I have a different model in my living room, it worked so well we bought this one for the bedroom. The fan is a little louder, but easy to get used to. You cam immediately tell the difference when you plug in a Holmes. I have allergies year round, my husband has emphysema and is on oxygen part of the time. It really makes a difference in the air quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So loud!

Had this for a week and want to return it. It is so much louder (and higher pitched, which is what really bugs me) than the other air purifier I have. Maybe it is worth buying a more expensive one for a quieter fan!
