I own 8 of these humidifiers and use them in two homes. The tower is easy to fill with water, and one tank lasts 24 hours even in the cold winter. I have had no problems with leaks and had found replacement parts, such as lids, were easy to find from Holmes.com. It doesn't leave a white film on furniture or floors, and it runs quietly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these for my father for Christmas. I also bought one for myself. The reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it doesn't seem like the filter reader works correctly. I change the filters and it never goes beyond half way on the "change" reader. When it does say change they look like they have a lot of life left in them. Also the lid to the water canister is very difficult to get back on. It seems like the threads are off. I have to try at least 5 times to get it aligned correctly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but tank is awkward to fill and too fragile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have two and both tanks are broken from dropping them. The size and shape of the tank makes it awkward to fill. One was dropped while filling it. Holmes should sell replacement tanks or offer a warranty! We like this model because it is quieter than the other models we have with digital control panels and takes less space.

Motor & Fan make noise.

The unit worked OK for about 3 1/2 months and then the motor and fan started making noise. I had a unit similar to this one but by a different manufacturer. It worked great for years but not this one made by Holmes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small but quiet and efficient

This was the second humidifier I bought at the same time, and it is performing very well. The only issue that's not obvious from the initial specifications is that it needs **2** filters - that only gets mentioned in the FAQ. Apart from that, a good unit (until something breaks and then I'm out of luck with all of the negative answers to people needing replacement parts - poor product management to not carry spares.)

Water Tank

I bought the humidifier last year. It was very hard to fill tank. You have to turn it upside down to fill and the tank broke. I love the performance except the water tank that cracked and I cannot get the replacement for it.
