Horrible design!!

I bought a Sunbeam model identical to this one. I see by the reviews that I am not the only one who broke the tank. The design is horrible, difficult to handle the tank when filling and threading the cap back on the tank. I am assuming that this may be why it is discontinued. Sunbeam did send me a whole new unit free of charge when I called them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this unit, it's quiet and effective. The only drawback I have found is it's a little awkward to fill the water container.

Quiet, easy to maintain, but easy to crack tank

I purchased this a few years ago and it ran pretty steadily. The fan started getting loud and rattling. I took it apart and used WD40 on the motor and it quieted down. I broke the tank tonight when I dropped it when filling. Need to get a replacement tank.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very inferior product

we purchased this humidifier a year ago. It has never worked properly, often leaks on the floor and is difficult to fill. The tank slipped out of my hands and broke. I would not recommend this product at all. It is poorly designed. We purchased another humidifier at Costco last month for much less than this product cost and it works beautifully. I will not buy another Holmes product.

Broken tank within 1 week

The tank is not the easiest to fill to begin with. After using this product for 1 week it slipped down in the tub when filling it and the tank cracked! It barely hit the tub. Now I see that I can't replace the tank so the whole piece is useless. I've always had Holmes humidifiers, but I believe that this is my last. Very disappointed.

Two days and broke

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two days ago broke tank already.
The tank won't stand on it's own when filling
Too big to hang on to and balance while trying to sew cap back on, slipped out of hand fell and broke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Need to offer replacement tanks

Only used it once and the tank slipped out of my hands and broke when trying to fill it with water. Not easy to handle. Wanted to look for a replacement tank to avoid buying another unit, but there is none offered.
