Best Shredder Ever Purchased

I was a little leary about spending this much money on a shredder but boy am I glad I did. I've worn out many a shredder over the years. They all lasted about 1 year and then gave out. They didn't sound "strong" as they worked like this one does. It gets the job done fast, efficient and quietly. My others have been loud - not this one. It goes right through staples and small paperclips with ease. The "safetys" that are built in are the greatest. My previous shredder was messy when empting which was frequent because of the small basket. Fellowes, you have me hooked on your brand.

good replacement

It was hard starting (on/off key very tight) Since initial start up, I just leave on (no children in house) and it has been doing the job. A little more noisy then the previous shredder, but appears to work well. It has been easy to empty and is very compact and fits in well, where we have it positioned.

Very, very good so far

I've owned this shredder for about a month. It is working like a champ. Efficient shredding, Dependable. I have my hopes up. Shredders and me have not gotten along. Something is always breaking way too fast, under a year, within two years.
The only thing which has me nervous on this shredder is the on/off switch. . . just waiting for the thing to go bad. It feels a little flimsy. I am also nervous about the door opening and closing and that switch.
If this one stays working, I will absolutely stick with Fellowes shredders. So far it seems perfect.

Best shredder I've ever owned

I am a retired police dispatcher from the local Freeport Police Dpt and realize the need for shredding any and all correspondence which has vital information imprinted on it.
Recently, my shredder ceased to work and I was starting to accumulate stacks of paper needing shredding. I foud myself packing up all the papaerwork and going to my daughters and using her shredder.
I guess my family got the message and I receivaed a new Fellowes Shredder for Mother's Day. It was quite a surprise and a very welcomed gift.
I tested the machine on several pieces of paper and even stapeled sheets and was amazed at how effortlessly the shredder worked.
I have given you the best rating that is available on this site.
