Not as good as the older ones.

Bought this a few weeks ago and it is no where near as good as our old one; I wish we would have had the old one fixed. If you have an older model that uses more water than the new ones, fix it and keep it until parts are no longer available.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love it! It is a great machine for the price. It can fit tons of clothes and gets them clean. My husband fights fires and it gets the grime out really well.

While in the middle of a family crisis my old washer died. I did some online investigation and found the Amana washer to be the best price and reviews were great. I made one visit, checked it out and purchased on the spot. I love this washer and it is sooooo quiet! Didn't realize how much of a tank the old machine really was!
