Too Noisy

We purchased this in October 2014. Went with this brand since we had the other one for 18 years and were very happy with it. This one is way too noisy!! Makes a grinding noise and is just loud. It should not be this loud. We did read the reviews that said it was noisy and we wondered just how loud - very! Also another quirk, if you leave lid open while tub fills, if you do not close door immediately after tub fills, the water drains out and you have to add more detergent and start over. Just not as good as our old Amana. It does however clean very good and spins the clothes out well.

I love my new Amana. I no longer bust my hands trying to unload the washer. The wider opening let's you reach in easier and I can wash more in each load. And best of all...it's made in America.

This is my second Amana and I love it. I left the first one in my home I sold. I then went to my local appliance dealer and was overjoyed that they carried the Amana washer and dryer. I was wicked happy and they delivered and set it up for me as well. Thanks for a great product.

Does a great job cleaning clothes and bedding. However, seems to be excess residual water outside the internal tub when spin cycle is complete. I will test the maintenance plan I have and revise my review accordingly.

I like the machine. It sounds different than the older models. Had to raise the height of the drain pipe in the back of the washer so it wouldn't spill over when it drained on final cycle. It is the difference between the way the older washing machines and the newer models work, I think. So far so good. I think it is a good value for the price I paid.

I bought my Amana dryer a year ago and when the washer broke -- no worries -- I called for a new Amana. I knew it would work quietly and efficiently. I knew I could have it in my home for a reasonable price. Iall B&B and the amount of sheets and towels is staggering but nothing me and my Amana can't handle. Made in the heart land in Amana Iowa my Amana washer and dryer have a place in my heart

My wife is so in love with our new washing machine, that I get yelled at when I put anything on it. For example I work outside all day in the hot Florida sun and heat, I come home and take off my dirty, wet uniforms and I used to put them on our old washing machine, but now I wouldn't dare because she just goes crazy and bounces off the wall and lays into me that her washing is no place for my dirty discussing clothes. So that is why I say it is the most cherished appliance in our house. We love our new Amana.Thanks for building a great wonderful product ,it gets my dirty clothes clean.
