Could not afford a bigger model. This one looked about the same size as my old one. The price was right. I told the sales person that I wanted one like this. She looked in the warehouse but could not find one. She offered the one in the show room. It had two dings on the exterior.She lowered the price some. I took it home and it runs great. The inside is bigger than it looked. I am very happy with this GE.

I bought this fridge because of its lack of features. I only need things to stay cold and this fridge does a great job at that. It also doesn't hurt the fridge looks really nice.

Does its job but is very noisy

This refrigerator works as it should but is very loud when the compressor runs - which is a lot. I like the thick doors, but the door shelves overlap and take up space on the regular shelves when the door is closed, so items get pushed back (which sometimes causes problems if the items can't squeeze or compress). The cheese drawer operation is fairly crude. It doesn't pull in and out smoothly. We chose this refrigerator due to space constraints, not by choice. It works, and perhaps it is a good value for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
