Simple but serves general purpose, basic model...on a very hot day tho the motor humms a little noisier than the norm.

Refrigerator\freezer are working great, I like the design features of this unit, shelf space and door space is great. Vegetable\fruit drawers have adjustable controls and the freezer compartment has a split shelf and extra door space that is handy. Love my new refrigerator.

My Secondary Refridgerator

First: I needed a refrigerator to replace an excellent 19 cubic foot refrigerator that I had had since 1989. The only model available at the time was Black. I threw in the towel and bought it because it was the only refrigerator shallow in depth enough (28 inches) to fit in the recess designed for it. I do not like the Black color at all and will never buy another Black appliance. The Ice Maker has issues because the cubes are frozen together and even after they are broken apart they stick together in the class so tightly that I have to break them up with a spoon or knife. It is not half the refridgerator that it replaced. The only thinkg I really like about it is the 20 inch depth and if I can find another with that dimension that will fit in the recess of my residence this one is gone if I have to donate it. Also It runs very quietly and that is a plus. I still like GE Appliances but I would not recommend this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The refrigerator is significantly more quiet than the refrigerator we replaced & has more usable space. The price was good & everything worked when it was turned on.
