Surprised by lack of defrost feature

It keeps my food cold until the ice forms on the freezer coils ,then not so much. I did not buy this it is provided by my landlord. I would replace it if I could. It takes 7 months to build up ice to where the fan starts to make noise telling me its time to defrost.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It appears you have a defrost system issue or a defrost drain tube that is blocked. Water under the vegetable pans is the usual evidence of a clogged defrost drain tube. I love the features. More shelves and easy to clean . My favorite feature is being able to put a gallon of milk on the door. More space . It's very quiet running. All my appliances are GE !

Small Package with huge dilvery

We recently moved into a cottage near the beach that was furnished with appliances. This Ge refrigerator was perfect size for the two of us. It has a quite compressor and you don’t hear it running. Easily keeps steady temperature and freezer was as expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I do not like this model. It is not real stainless. I've only had it a year and it has two dents on the front door. It looks cheap, like I bought it at a "Scratch and Dent" outlet. The door feature of opening just the part with beverages is just a nuisance. No bueno to this model and I paid a small fortune for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this fridge couple years ago, now only freezer is working, fridge is no longer cooling even at Max temperature. It’s not even our main fridge. Very disappointed.

I purchased it in Sep 2016. The freezer is still working fine, but the refrigerator is not. It probably costs too much to fix. I will look for a new one this weekend.
