Pretty ok but with reservations

As our old GE of about the same size was giving out, we got this new one and have had it for a month now. Some negatives to point out: the light bulb didn't last three weeks, we just replaced it, no problem but we are wondering if there could be an electrical problem or something. Also, the freezer has registered at 30 and 40 degrees a few times. Usually, the freezer and fridge temperatures are perfect but a few times the freezer made noises and we checked and it was warm. We think that the fridge was not properly leveled by the installers and we noticed that the doors were not closing on their own. So my husband adjusted the leveling legs and now the doors close on their own but it still happened a few times after that. We are worried and wondering whether to call for service in case something is wrong with the freezer door or gasket. Our last two GE fridges had this problem and that is one of the reasons we bought a new one. Not too many fridges fit in this small apartment kitchen we have so we didn't have much choice as to what brands and models to buy.
Our old fridge had glass shelves. This one has wire shelves. So far it hasn't been a problem but we haven't had any spills yet so it remains to be seen how it will be to clean up a spill. The fruit and vegetable bins are much larger and fancier than our old one. The freezer seems bigger though it is almost the same size but the new shelf style gives more room. As our space in small, the door handles stick out a bit and hit the wall when we open it. I think buyers should consider that the new handle style takes up more space.
Otherwise, what a great pleasure and relief it is to have a brand new GE fridge in our kitchen.

Loud noises when defrosting

Runs alot and freezer door opens when fridge close

this seems to run a ton more then my 25 year old fridge that it replaced. Also, when the fridge door closes the freezer door opens but does not close. Pain!

I am happy with my GE refrigerator. My first stainless steel and while it is not finger proof, it stays very clean. I will say that you need to be very organized because it is small. Works great for me because it is just me and my husband and we have a extra fridge in the garage.

THE REFRIGERATOR IS THE PERFECT SIZE AND THE COLOR BLACK COMPLIMENTS THE FURNITURE IN THE ENTERTAINING AREA IT WAS BOUGHT FOR. THE SETBACK IS THAT IT IS MUCH NOISIER THAN I WOULD HAVE WANTED IT TO BE.
