I have a large garden, and every year I spend a lot of time hand cutting my vegetables to freeze and can. My hands would ache from the hours of holding a knife. I am amazed and overjoyed at the amount of work I get done with this food processor. I have easily cut my time in half. The shredding disc produced a much better result with my zuchinni than shredding by hand. The adjustable slicing was a major feature I wanted, and it works well on tomatoes to beets. I love this food processor, and I am sure I will find many ways to use it. I recommend this processor to anyone who wants to process foods quickly and have excellent results.

This is on heavy duty food processor. I pushed it to it's limit for certain, as I did get trip the fail safe on it when mixed a too thick dough. It only took a minute to reset it's self and I then pulsed the dough to finish mixing. I purchase all of the attachments and have used almost every one of them int he past year.
I previously burn out a different brand of food processor in a short amount of time, but the Kitchen Aid is built like their mixer, built to last.
The sleek look and ease of the large buttons are great. I also like the box that contains all of the accessories. Make storage a breeze.
Pros: Design, storage of the accessories is great., Convenient Features, Performance, Innovative, large opening for adding ingredients., easy to use, everything is dishwasher safe., larger container/bowl makes bigger batches., heavy duty motor.

I love the wide mouth design. My only negative observation is that it is very tight to get the positioning correct to activate the on buttons. I was very frustrated and thought it defective until I gave one more try and pushed the handle further activating the safety switch. I was worried I might force it and cause damage.
Overall I am very pleased with all my kitchenaid appliances and have purchased them as gifts for my daughters.

This food processor requires you to become familiar with the manual to be able to use it. I needed to refer to it several times to see how it all fits together. It is well worth a little study though, and once you get the hang of that, the machine is easy to use. The pieces come in a handy storage tub you can keep on a shelf. Clean up often requires the use of the spatula, (included) to wedge out the food that gets trapped under the slicer blade rim. The plastic bowl is easy to clean and the machine comes with a small and large one, which is handy. Another nice feature is the ExactSlice System's food thickness setting option, which enables you to get the results you want by setting a lever. I also love the feature that lets you slice long veggies without them falling on their sides; the small feed tube option for slicing carrots and cucumbers is great. Overall quality of this food processor is very good, we are talking Kitchenaid after all.
