I received my Kitchen Aid 13 cup food processor as a Christmas gift from my boyfriend and it is one of the best gifts ever!
We both love to cook and try new dishes and this makes preparing all courses of any meal quick and enjoyable.
I previously owned another less expensive model food processor and it could never stand up to the performance, or compare to flexibility and ease of use of my new Kitchen Aid.

I am 67 and an avid foodie. My story begins with a terrible kitchen accident, but it ends happily with my new food processor. Unfortunately, due to physical issues with coordination, I can no long handle prep work like I used to -- in fact, I nearly lost a pinkie last February when using a regulation mandolin slicer. Enter KitchenAid to the rescue! It's all the commercials indicate and so much more. I particularly appreciate the safety features -- like the holes in each disc that allow safe removal and cleaning. Of course, the major drawing card is the ability to change the slicing blade from thin to thick from the outside -- which for me, is not only fun and useful -- it's also another safety feature -- allowing me to avoid touching the disc anymore than is necessary. It's easy to clean. And I love the storage box I got with mine, making everything so well-organized. I can't say enough good things about this food processor -- it has me cooking again.
Pros: Performance, Design, Innovative, safer than other processors i've used, easy to use, Convenient Features
Cons: instruction manual is a bit confusing

I brought the 13 cup food processor to make home made dog food. Specifically for its volume and or capacity. Two pounds of carrots, two pounds of green beans and a whole chicken boil for two hours and let stand for another. Debone the chicken and drop it into the food processor for a creaming paste like texture, the same for the beans and carrots. Yum yum my dogs eats it up.
Now for the processor, the whole processor time is approximately 10 minutes! That includes loading, processing and transferring the product. I am most impressed by the machine's ease of use, its power to weight ratio, its design and add on(s).
What don't I like about the machine (I'm being nit picky); the lid does not easily twist on or off at times and the joint between the lid and the food chute seems over complicated with too many parts and crevasses. Granted, this issue only revealed itself when washing the machine if let stand before washing without soaking first and when using the machine to move between small and large production / processing (ie too many choices on the food piston which is used to force the food down the food feed).
Over all, my complaint pale in comparison to the OUTSTANDING pride I take we I get to pull my Food Processor out in front of a crowd of hungry onlookers (family, fiends or my animals). I feel like Tim "the Toolman" Taylor from Home Improvement and that is meant to be a compliment!

I have used it to make pizza dough and slice veggies and it was great the only issue is the use of the adjustable blade it was not as intuitive and I had to practice on a few cucumbers! Once you get it down the three openings were great you can fit a hole potato in the second opening with ease. Made my mom's potato pancakes.

I find that this product is exactly what I need! It slices and shreds, does match stick vegtables and does wonderful french fries. It makes my life easier in the kitchen.
