This machine is very complex and difficult to use. The manual helps figure out most problems, but it is difficult to read and understand. The unit is very big and bulky so you will need both height and width to use it on your counter space especially with the tools in their storage box. The unit works very well and can handle both large and small jobs. I would still recommend it because it is the finest food processor I have purchased to date after three other smaller ones.

When I first got this food processor in Feb, 2013 (it replaced a KitchenAid 12 cup one that just died one day), the top was incredibly difficult to close. The multiple gaskets grab on to the sides of the bowl and won't move. I thought it would close more easily over time. I was wrong. It's just as difficult 8 months later. I suspect it's to help avoid leakage of liquids, but it's just too darn tight! As a result, I don't use the processor nearly as often as I used my old one.
Additionally, you've made the cover with too many pieces, and if the parts aren't properly assembled, the processor doesn't work. UGH!! The old version was much better. (I sure do miss mine.) A LOT of parts is bad enough, but grooved ones that accumulate everything you process?? Did a real cook (who washes his/her own appliances? give you any feedback on this model? I can't recommend this to anyone.
Once you get it assembled, it works fine, but I almost hope it'll die so I can get a new one -- probably a Cuisinart (although NOT my first choice for a kitchen appliance) :( I'm sorry, but you blew it with this model.
