The product is terrible at shredding cold hard cheese. Each time the cheese would eventually get stuck on top of the shredding blade. The product is not very good at slicing small carrots (2 inches). Again the carrots would get stuck and the unit would stop running.
Too many moving parts and too many pieces to clean. I want something quick and easy for both slicing and shredding, this food processor took more time in food prep because each time I had to clean the blade once it got stuck. Too big of a gap between the bowls top and the slicer. This contributed to the food getting stuck. Once the food hit the blade edge-it would flip it up above the blade surface and get stuck. The food got stuck in the gap near the rubber seal.
However the product was great for missing bread dough. Worked very well to mix several items in a bowl.

The processor is so solid and quite. It has amazing power to chop the toughest foods. The size of the container eliminates the need to process in batches. I really like this product.

My old processor died and I immediately went out to purchase a new one. i bought the biggest one I could find since I do a lot of big processing for large groups (church and charity luncheons).
This KA processor is great, especially with the smaller bowl included. I love that I can adjust the thickness of the slice. The case that houses the attachments is great too.

Pros: powerful motor, large bowl, intuitive use
Cons: hard to clean slicing blade, liquid drips down the lid into the large bowl when using the small bowl, so both get dirty, first one broke after three months and had to be replaced
I had an earlier model for about 13 years and loved it, but my mom bought this for me for Christmas so I switched. I don't like cleaning all the nooks and crannies of the lid or picking food out of the slicing blade, but otherwise it's pretty easy to use and clean. The center of the mixing blade came out and got stuck on the center post. I couldn't get it off and KA replaced the whole thing for free. The first one had been really super hard to separate the bowl from the base, but the replacement is easy, which makes me wonder if the center post was the problem with the blade and bowl removal. Their customer service guy was awesome. I called on Friday and had a new fp on Monday. They paid shipping for the replacement and the return. I love the new

I bought this product about 2 months ago. Overall it is a good product and I use it daily. I was, however, unimpressed that one of the chopping blades fell apart after it's first use. I put it back together and it runs fine now but I hope that does not mean it will fall apart in the future. Besides that issue I have been happy with it.

I thought my husband was being extravagant in purchasing the processor, however he was just being very thoughtful! I have trouble with my hands due to arthritis and now with the help of my processor I can do all of the different type of food processing I want! I can shred my potatoes again for hash browns, slice everything for my cooking, it is so nice to be in the kitchen again!

Since purchasing the food processor it has made my chopping of so many vegetables a breeze. I had always wanted a food processor but did not know which brand name to buy. I always had known that kitchen aid was a very good quality machine but never dreamed that it would make my life so much easier when it came to slicing, cutting and mixing. I wanted to make some pastry for a pie and was kind of reluctant to do it in the machine, boy oh boy was I surprised. It did a fantastic job.
