I bought this & the dice attachment from QVC..it arrived yesterday & I sent it back today. It is huge...twice as big as my Vitamix...& I thought that was BIG. This stupid thing has sooo many parts, they would have required a cabinet all their own. I have arthritis in my hands & couldn't even open the dicer. I have a 30+ year old Regal LaMachine food processor that just refuses to die. It's a work horse. Thought I "wanted" a NEW more modern machine...WRONG...stick with what you know...it serves me well....& it doesn't take over my space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For years, I did not own a food processor because I thought I just wouldn't use it enough to justify it. I was SO wrong! I use my KitchenAid for a million things....in fact, I use it several times a week at least. I make homemade bread crumbs, bread dough, scones, grated cheese, chopped veggies for soups and stews, etc. It is like magic! It makes my prep work so quick and easy...and it is amazingly easy to clean up afterwards. I wouldn't trade this thing for a million dollars!

You Won't find a Better Food Processor

If you are looking for quality in a food processor then this is the Food Processor you will want. I have been cooking for more than 40 years and have tried them all. You can find food processors cheaper but if you are serious about what you doing then I would highly recommend you spend the extra and by the KitchenAid. If I have one complaint with the 13 cup unit, it is that this thing is heavy and will need a storage space big enough to accommodate the large size. But the weight and size has nothing to do with its performance. No I don't work for KitchenAid and you can believe me when I say this is one good Food Processor and anyone purchasing it will be happy with it.

What did I do before adjustable slicing?

This was given to me as a gift and while it took a bit of time to learn about and use all of different features and attachments, this product does support a wide variety of food preparation. I've used it for making dough, salsas, soup, and slicing fruits/vegetables. The biggest strength is definitely the adjustable blade, in addition to the sleek styling and overall quality of the hardware (which one expects from KitchenAid). There are two drawbacks in my opinion: (1) occasionally pieces of food get lodged up in the rim of the lid and (2) the size of the appliance as well as the very nice storage container it comes with require a bit of storage space because of their large size.
I would recommend this to a friend!
