I have wanted a food processor for years. I finally decided my family needed to eat more 'fresh, natural' meals, so this works great. Now we make a lot of homemade pesto and guacamole, and lots of pasta sauces from fresh ingredietns. Love it!

I purchased this model in May of 2014, used it to make peanut butter which is what I primarily use it for, and was disappointed in the power of the motor and performance of parts. My blade melted to the unit and I could not remove the bowl from the processor. I called Kitchen Aid and they were super helpful in sending me a new one, but the power is not the same as my other one. Bigger isn't always better!!!!

I got this as a Christmas present in 2012, and I have only used a few times but I know its potential and I am so glad that I have it. -- Pros: SPEED! So much faster/easier than hand chopping or shredding! -- SIZE! I am able to process a large amount at one time. -- VERSATILITY. I love all of the attachments it come with and the nice box that to store them all in. -- NOISE LEVEL. It is so quiet!! My mom was over and she couldn't believe it! She has a 35ish year old food processor of a different brand that is still working but so loud and probably won't last too much longer. She plans on getting the same one I have when it finally dies on her. DIRECTIONS. It is very easy to look up in the illustrated manual how to install attachments, which ones to use, and what speed to use.-- --Cons: CLEANING. It is easy to clean, i just hate cleaning and compared to just a knife and a cutting board, there are more pieces to clean. (the bowl, the lid withe the three removable pieces, the blade, the part that attaches the blade to the base, plus there is still the knife and the cutting board if you used it to chop off the ends of the vegetables.) However, in the long run i know it is still less time consuming than hand chopping.-- SMALL BOWL. I will admit that I only have used it once and it was for liquid (a yogurt and cream cheese mixture), but the yogurt splattered up and got the top of the large bowl dirty, which for me completely defeated the purpose of using the small bowl (less of a mess to clean.) I ended up having to clean both bowls! However, it may work better for non-liquids.-- SLICER/SHREDDER. It does a great job at both, but that last little chunk of vegetable at the end always just gets stuck at the top of the disc and never gets shredded or sliced. You either have to discard it or shred/slice is by hand.-- LID. The seal on the lid makes it hard to turn to lock it is. But it only has to be turned an inch or two and the seal is very good. I think I am going to try to lube it with some olive oil.-- --CONCLUSION-- It looks like I have more cons than pros! but it really is just nitpicking. Overall the pros way out the cons. It really does a great job very quickly. Just make sure that you clean it right away so you don't have to deal with dried up food stuck to it!
Pros: Performance, Convenient Features, easy to use

I bought this 3 months ago and only have 2 complaints the Warranty / Guarentee should be more then 1 year, especially because this product is in the same pricerange as the CusinArt Processing range with carries a 10 Year Warranty. and 2.) Occasionally Food get stuck in the very top of the lid when processing fine ingredients.
